Dear Piers,
This is a beautifull site and what drew me to your site was the sport diary of
Mr.Frederick who I believe was your Grand Father.
I loved the minutes of big game hunting recorded by him and thank you for bringing it
to the masses and especially to those who have souls like mine , and love their wild
heritage as much as i do.
Please let me know if he also wrote any books on Indian big game/hunting.
congratulations and Thanks
Wajeeh
I'm looking for information of Patagonia, so I found your page almost accidentally, but It has been one of the few that I really like. Congratulations! You've made a fantastic work. Keep On!
Nice stuff..i just hit upon the site while searching for pics for gilgit...good workkk. I wish someone , esp ppl ion the west, (including me) would take the time to start some kind of Ngo to protect those glaciers and places. Regards!
Enjoyed the website, patricularly because it resurrected fond memories of attending school in Srinagar ( Tyndale Biscoe School) and going on a trek in 1946 with my parents, to Tragbal, Korakbal, Gurais, the Burzil Pass and to the glacier of Nanga Parbat, eventually in the direction of Astor. We had our supplies, tents, pack ponies, locals to help, including the chief cook, Sultana Benares. A pleasure to visit your site and read details about the family. This note is from an Australian who also treasures old albums of Black and White Photos taken with a Rollieflex and a Brownie Box camera of that memorable experience in Kashmir so long ago.
I love your websites you have some great images here. Bringing back some memories...
Anyway just wanna let you know that i'm adding a link to your website from my directory, if you don't mind. www.ezwep.com

Fascinating - congrats Piers - excellent photos beautifully presented - keep going and you'll catch up with the Buckleburyweb site !!
Wow, I really like your photos, especially of Pakistan, as I was watching the movie, The Man Who Would be King, which was actually filmed in Morocco, but was set in India, Pakistan and the legendary Kafiristan, which is in the Hindu Kush. The movie did a good job and is well shot nonetheless as well as having an awesome story and overall feel to it. The rugged lands of the Middle East, and especially Pakistan, Afghnistan, and Western India all have an awesome look to them and appropriately so, being the Indus Cradle of Civilization area supposedly.
Im 12 years old doing reaserch for a project at schooll. I picked Corsica because of its history and beautiful landscape Your website was an excellent source for me. Some of pictures remind me of my last year's fascinating visit to Hunza in Northern Areas of Pakistan with WWF team. During that visit, we were fortunate enough to see Himalayan Ibex through naked eye. It was simply wonderful.

I then followed the link to Pakistan (I visited there in '95) and woah, they are cool! I particulary liked Pindi at night. Anyway, I see you had an addition to your family, best wishes and thanks for sharing all this beautiful stuff.

Hi Piers,
awesome! you have done a wonderful job. I wish our Pakistani tourism department will learn something from you. I feel really bad that we have wonderful places in Pakistan but the govt. does'nt care to promote it. Atleast your website can be a big help for my country for tourist promotion. Oh yes next time, if you will plan to go to Pakistan then do visit south, as we have beautiful desert and yep also we do have historical site for worth watching.
Anyway, I am really glad to see the pcitures and it was also interesting to read your great grand father's diary.
Indeed you did a good job.Keep it up! I wish I could also make good photoes of my country like you.

I liked your pictures of Northern Pakistan, particulary of Swat. My mom always talks about the beautiful people of Swat and now I finally got to see some. You should also visit Lahore. It's a beautiful, diverse city. It's nice to know of an open-minded British person.
Hi, your website is similar to the type I would like to set up. I am looking for a free website place to set up a place for overseas family to update. Can you help me re how you have set up your website? PS: your corsica photos are great - i am planning the next holiday there so that is how I found your website
Found your site while looking for pics of Corsica (planning my next holiday!). I've now just finished looking at all your pics - they are fab and I'm very jealous of all the ace places you've been to. Also, your daughter is beautiful. Splendid website.
Hello, I am so impressed with the pictures here, I will make the same journey too this summer holiday, would you please contact me by e-mail? I need some information about Pakistan.
I have just returned from a wonderfully challenging, FUN adventure to Patagonia - my camera died on the Perito Moreno glacier so I was delighted to see your shots which bring it all back as only a picture can do. Where are you going next?
Hi Piers & Viv, I found your page while browsing the Internet. I was looking for pics from beautiful places - something to cheer me up when I'm working : ), and I found your pictures from Patagonia and they are GREAT. Cheers.
We really liked the photo of the couple with green eyes in the 'Friends' section of your wedding photos. The girl's wearing a blue suit and has lovely fair hair, and the young chap has obviously had his hair cut in a totally cool salon. We like swinging and wondered whether we could have their email address or if they'd like to contact us directly.
Hi, I was looking for some Information about Ulan Bator and found a picture of your site. I enjoyed your impressive travel photos, all of them. Thank you for presenting it on the web.
Hello Piers, I visited your site, and found it great enough to make a link of it on my web site with a small picture of yours. I want you to take a look at your site's link on my site, and then let me know if you have any objections about it. I know I should have asked you before putting your picture over there but I hope you wouldn’t mind it. Now I am seeking for your permission. My sites's address is www.pocatello.cjb.net. Have a great one. Bye.
Piers, Just popped in to check out the beer Olympics setup as have a Swiss national event to organise later in the year. Good luck with the move to suburbia. Love to V&G.
Piers, Great site. Very impressive. Particularly fine was the beer olympics. Some of my personal favourites (e.g. Calders) did well. I'll check in for future updates on beer selection! Oh, and I'm sure the holiday pics are fab too - but thought I should work rather than plan my next holiday! Thanks for the address update too. Cheers, Paris.

Dear sir, It give me very nice plasure to visit in your site. actually i belong form Passu and where you already visited. i have a site it is named by my hotel Passu peak Inn if you can add this address in ur site it would be appreciated the address is www.passupeakinn.cjb.net
Hi! Got sent here by searching for Carpmael on Google. Wierd! My site does not even get listed!! Hope all is well. I am sure that I will see you soon, probably at the farm. Rob
Love the latest pics of Georgia - next time I'll expect to see her in full flamenco costume to go with the marracas!(how on earth do you spell that by the way?) Next time we see you can you take a pic of Georgia with Caradoc, as a sneaky way of infiltrating your wonderful website with a picture of my beautiful boy?!! xxx
Dear Piers, Imagine my shock as your wedding photo downloaded revealing almost the exact same face as I remember 16 years ago. The compliments on your web-site are richly deserved: a most enjoyable way to 'catch up'. Tom.
Hi Piers Great photos of The Northern Areas. Thanks for the email on my Burzil Pass error. Hopefully, if I ever get around to an update, that'll be first on my list.Thank God someone's actually looking at the damn thing, after all the years (and blood, sweat, tears and buckets of chai) I put into it. Also thanks for a great, colourful, informative and fast website. Best wishes, John Callanan (KKH)
P and V, This is truly an impressive site!! Piers, I am v jealous of your photography skills too. Little G is looking very beautiful. I can't wait to see her again. Hope all is well with you both. Rachxxx
Piers, I am planning a trip from Russia to Beijing, through China and beyond - I searched the internet for some images of Mongolia and your site came up as one to look at. Fabulous photographs. Thanks for taking the time to put it all together. I thought Beamish should have won the Beer Olympics though. If you're interested in more travel photo's I have a work in progress at flyingwarner.com. Hope you can keep up the travels now that you're married with children. All the best to you. Ian
Dear Viv, Piers and Georgia, What wonderful pictures - especially liked the ones of Georgia with towel on head. Just seen a pic of Rosi with Baby Gee too - hope it won't be too long before I see you all in the flesh. Lots of love, xxCatherinexx
Had to visit this site after meeting Zaid and Claud in Tanzania (I owe him $50 for an assortment of macho cocktails, like passionfruit daiquiris etc). Very excited about taking part in a splinter group beer olympics. All the best, and we are coming to Geneva sometime so, Zaid, polish the cocktail bar - mines a mojito.
I finally entered the 21st century. That was great to see Sophie's wedding pictures. I have an e-mail address so I expect a reply once in awhile. Spain was wonderful last spring and we are heading to Italy and Greece next spring. I am becoming quite the world traveller.
Beautiful idea. Thanks for sharing your photo album with the world . I am a political cartoonist who was looking for some visual reference on Tiananmen square. Your pics were very helpful. thanks Mark Knight
What a hopeless bunch of friends you have. Lucky that hairy git Zaid made it in otherwise you really would have been left all on your lonesome. Hope the wedding goes well. Weather here lovely. Love to Viv, Giovanni xxxxxx
Pedro, Very useful. My Mum wanted to see photos of Madonna's wedding, but we couldn't find any so we went to see your wedding instead. Personally, I think it was a better bash anyway. Especially the dashing and witty Best Man. Z
Dear Piers and Viv, loved the pictures. I am in the computer lab at school. Still not on the net. We are planning to return to London with the school in 2002. It is your turn to come to Canada first.

Pedro, Shamed as I am to say it - this is a truly excellent web site. I, too, just came for a browse through the wedding photos and ended up looking through all your expeditions. Some brilliant photos. Thanks, David

Saadia

I have just returned from a wonderfully challenging, FUN adventure to Patagonia - my camera died on the Perito Moreno glacier so I was delighted to see your shots which bring it all back as only a picture can do. Where are you going next?

We really liked the photo of the couple with green eyes in the 'Friends' section of your wedding photos. The girl's wearing a blue suit and has lovely fair hair, and the young chap has obviously had his hair cut in a totally cool salon. We like swinging and wondered whether we could have their email address or if they'd like to contact us directly.

Hello Piers, I visited your site, and found it great enough to make a link of it on my web site with a small picture of yours. I want you to take a look at your site's link on my site, and then let me know if you have any objections about it.

You need to spend more time with your work, young lad. Scanning hundreds of photos does not generate returns for shareholders.
